TikTok tells employees it’s planning ‘the way forward’ ahead of Supreme Court ruling

TikTok has told employees that its executives are planning “the way forward” ahead of the Supreme Court likely upholding a US ban of the app this week.
In an internal memo obtained by The Verge, employees were told that the company is “planning for various scenarios” ahead of the Supreme Court’s decision, which is expected as soon as January 15th. “We know it’s unsettling to not know exactly what happens next,” the memo says. It also notes that employees will continue to be paid and that “our offices will remain open” regardless of whether the app is banned on the 19th or not.
