Elon Musk and tech elite back a pro-Trump super PAC

Image: Cath Virginia / The Verge; Getty Images

Several close friends of Elon Musk, including Palantir cofounder Joe Lonsdale, venture capitalist Doug Leone, and investor and podcast host David Sacks, have donated lavishly to a super PAC backing former President Donald Trump — and The Wall Street Journal reports that Musk plans on donating as much as $45 million a month to America PAC. In a post on X, Musk replied to the Journal’s article with a meme claiming it was “fake gnus” (fake news), though Bloomberg reported this weekend that he had already contributed an undisclosed amount to the super PAC.
Musk endorsed Trump on Saturday following the assassination attempt at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania and praised Trump’s selection of Ohio Senator J.D. Vance as his running mate. Several of Musk’s friends and business associates have contributed to the PAC, and others have reportedly said they’d do so. Multiple America PAC donors attended a $50,000-a-head fundraiser hosted by Sacks — the host of the All-In podcast, who decried “Democrat rule” in San Francisco in a Monday speech at the Republican National Convention — according to The Washington Post.

Recent financial disclosures show America PAC has raised more than $8.7 million since June. Founded in May by prominent Republican campaign finance lawyer Chris Gober, the PAC is focused on registering voters and encouraging early and mail-in voting in swing states, one source told the Journal. America PAC has reportedly hired hundreds of employees. In June, The New York Times reported that the PAC spent more than $6.6 million on behalf of Trump in a two-week period, most of which went toward “canvassing/field operations.”
“We believe that four more years of Joe Biden is a grave threat to the financial and physical safety of the United States,” an unnamed America PAC spokesperson said in a statement to The New York Times.
Other donors include Sequoia partner Shaun Maguire, Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, early PayPal executive Ken Howery, and Valor Equity Partners founder Antonio Gracias, a former member of Tesla’s board of directors. Keith Rabois, a managing director at Khosla Ventures, told the Financial Times he would donate $1 million to the PAC. Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz told employees of their eponymous investment firm that they planned on donating to the PAC, The Information says. Andreessen and Horowitz reportedly told employees that they expect Trump to be more lax on industries like cryptocurrency.
Correction, July 17th: An earlier version misstated the name of Antonio Gracias’s investment firm. It is Valor Equity Partners, not Valor Energy Partners.

Lee Daniels’ The Deliverance can’t pray away the demons in new trailer

Courtesy of Netflix © 2024

Though director Lee Daniels isn’t exactly new to horror, the first trailer for Netflix’s The Deliverance makes it seem like he’s hitting his stride with the genre.
Inspired by the 2011 reports of a haunting in Gary, Indiana, The Deliverance tells the story of Ebony Jackson (Andra Day), a woman from Pennsylvania whose life is upended as her sons Andre (Anthony B. Jenkins) and Nate (Caleb McLaughlin) are tormented by a malevolent entity.
While it’s obvious that Ebony’s at her wit’s end as she brings in Reverend Bernice James (Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor) to exorcize her sons, it’s also clear that others — like social worker Cynthia Henry (Mo’Nique) and churchgoer Alberta (Glenn Close) — aren’t sure what to make of the mother’s situation. The trailer’s unsettling shots of Andre guzzling milk and being drowned in a tub by his brother both read as signs of them being under the influence of a supernatural force. But it also feels like The Deliverance will try to leave some question as to whether what’s happening to the Jackson family is actually otherworldly and how much of it might just be religiously fueled delusion.
The Deliverance is slated to hit Netflix on August 30th.
Correction, July 16th: An earlier version of this article misstated the Jacksons’ family name in one instance as “Jenkins.”

The Deliverance is slated to hit Netflix on August 30th.

Correction, July 16th: An earlier version of this article misstated the Jacksons’ family name in one instance as “Jenkins.”

The Pixel 9 Pro could get a 50MP selfie cam

The Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL could help you capture clearer selfies thanks to a major upgrade to the front-facing camera. Leaked marketing materials shared with Android Authority depict the Pro 9 and Pro 9 XL with 50 megapixel auto-focusing selfie cameras.
The selfie cam and the rear-facing ultrawide and telephoto cameras are all rumored to use 50MP Sony IMX858 image sensors, while the primary rear camera may feature a 50MP sensor from Samsung. You can get an early look at what appears to be the Pixel 9 Pro’s camera in action in this video posted to TikTok, which shows an up to 30x Super Res Zoom — just like the Pixel 7 and Pixel 8. The device used in this video appears to be the same leaked hardware the account showed off last week.

The marketing materials also indicate the base Pixel 9 may get a relatively modest 10.5MP selfie cam with autofocus. While not as impressive as the rumored 50MP rear camera on the Pro models, it’s still an upgrade from the 10MP selfie cam on the base Pixel 8, which doesn’t have autofocus. The two-camera setup on the back of the standard Pixel 9 may use the same 50MP Samsung main camera sensor and the 50MP Sony ultrawide sensor as the Pixel 9 Pro and Pro XL, without the telephoto lens.
The rumored Pixel Fold 2, on the other hand, may only feature minor upgrades to its cameras, Android Authority reports. Google also may be working on adding 8K video encoding at 30 frames per second, according to Android Authority, but we don’t know which Pixel devices will support it, or if it will be available upon launch.
Either way, we’ll be on the lookout for an upgraded selfie cam — and the rumored ultrasonic fingerprint sensor — during Google’s hardware event on August 13th.

The best Kindle deals available for Amazon Prime Day 2024

The Kindle Scribe is down to an all-time low price. | Photo by Amelia Holowaty Krales / The Verge

It’s no secret that Amazon sells some of the most popular e-readers on the market. Every Kindle I’ve ever tested has been snappy and sharp with a decent feature set, making them ideal for those embedded in Amazon’s ecosystem. And now that Prime Day 2024 is here, they’re even more attractive purchases since many are steeply discounted.

To make life easier, we’ve rounded up the best deals on everything from the entry-level Kindle to the note-taking Kindle Scribe. We’ve added deals on the kid-friendly variants and bundles, too, so you don’t need to pore through Amazon looking for them. And remember: if you want to save money on other devices, make sure to also check out our larger guide to the best Amazon Prime Day deals you can currently get.
The best Kindle (2022) deals

The six-inch entry-level Kindle offers a lot of value for its price, which is why it’s my favorite budget-friendly e-reader on the market. It’s a significant improvement over its 2019 predecessor, with features like a sharp 300ppi display and snappy performance that’s hard to find on e-readers in this price range. Along with good battery life, the Kindle also sports USB-C for relatively fast charging and 16GB of storage so you can store as many ebooks as you’d like.
Right now, you can buy the ad-supported Kindle with three months of Kindle Unlimited included for $84.99 ($15 off) from Amazon, which is $10 shy of its all-time low price. You can also buy it with ads, a power adapter, and a fabric cover starting at $108.97 ($41 off).

If you want to buy an e-reader for a child under the age of 12, the Kindle Kids might be the better option. It’s identical to the standard Kindle, but it’s free of ads and comes with optional parental controls. It also includes one year of Amazon Kids Plus, which grants children access to thousands of kid-friendly games, videos, and books, along with a case and a two-year extended replacement guarantee.
Right now, Amazon is selling the Kindle Kids for $99.99, which is $20 shy of its all-time low price of $79.99.

The best Kindle Paperwhite (2021) deals

From a sharp display to USB-C, the 6.8-inch Kindle Paperwhite offers all the features that make the Kindle great and then some. It’s my favorite Amazon e-reader for that reason, with extras like IPX8 waterproofing, an adjustable warm white front light, and battery life that can last months making it an overall great option. Right now, you can buy the Kindle Paperwhite with 16GB of storage and ads for $134.99, which is a far cry from its $99.99 all-time low price but still one of its better prices to date in recent months. Amazon is also bundling the 16GB Paperwhite with a power adapter and your choice of a fabric cover for $164.97 ($30 off), a leather cover for $171.97 ($30 off), or the 8GB model with a “cork” cover for $189.97 ($20 off).

Amazon is also discounting the ad-free Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition. The e-reader is identical to the Paperwhite but adds Qi wireless charging, a sensor that automatically adjusts the backlight when needed, and 32GB of storage. It is on sale for $179.99 ($10 off), which is a far cry form its $129.99 all-time low price but again one of the few discounts we’ve seen in recent months.

Last but not least, Amazon is discounting the kid-friendly version of the Kindle Paperwhite. The Kindle Paperwhite Kids is identical to the Kindle Paperwhite but, like the Kindle Kids, is free of ads and comes with a kid-friendly cover, a two-year extended replacement guarantee, optional parental controls, and a year of Amazon Kids Plus. You can buy it on sale for $149.99. While $30 shy of its best price yet, the deal is decent given we haven’t seen the model go on sale as frequently as we once did this year.

The best Kindle Scribe deals

If you’re somebody who likes to take notes while reading, the ad-free Kindle Scribe could be worth a look. With its sharp 10.2-inch display, it’s the largest in the Kindle lineup and the only one that comes with a stylus you can use to annotate books or take notes in its integrated virtual notebooks.
Truthfully, it’s not my favorite e-reader for taking notes — that honor goes to the more capable Kobo Elipsa 2E, Still, the Scribe has come a long way since its launch since Amazon regularly releases software updates. In the past year, for example, Amazon’s added the ability to convert handwriting into typed text (to a limited extent), directly write on the pages of select Kindle titles, and expanded the selection of pen styles, making the e-reader a much more attractive purchase.

The Kindle Scribe with 16GB of storage normally starts at $339.99, but right now, you can buy it with three months of Kindle Unlimited from Amazon for $234.99. That is a new all-time low price on the note-taking e-reader. Amazon’s also discounting various bundles, offering the 16GB Kindle Scribe with a leather cover and a power adapter for $281.97 ($168 off). You can also buy a bundle that includes the Premium Pen (which offers a built-in eraser and shortcut button), a leather cover, and a power adapter starting at $419.97 ($60 off).

Apple, Anthropic, and other companies used YouTube videos to train AI

Illustration by Alex Castro / The Verge

More than 170,000 YouTube videos are part of a massive dataset that was used to train AI systems for some of the biggest technology companies, according to an investigation by Proof News and copublished with Wired. Apple, Anthropic, Nvidia, and Salesforce are among the tech firms that used the “YouTube Subtitles” data that was ripped from the video platform without permission. The training dataset is a collection of subtitles taken from YouTube videos belonging to more than 48,000 channels — it does not include imagery from the videos.
Videos from popular creators like MrBeast and Marques Brownlee appear in the dataset, as do clips from news outlets like ABC News, the BBC, and The New York Times. More than 100 videos from The Verge appear in the dataset, along with many other videos from Vox.
“Apple has sourced data for their AI from several companies,” Brownlee, known by his handle MKBHD, wrote in a post on X. “One of them scraped tons of data/transcripts from YouTube videos, including mine.” He added: “This is going to be an evolving problem for a long time.”
YouTube didn’t immediately respond to The Verge’s request for comment.

As part of its investigation, Proof News also released an interactive lookup tool. You can use its search feature to see if your content — or your favorite YouTuber’s — appears in the dataset.
The subtitles dataset is part of a larger collection of material from the nonprofit EleutherAI called The Pile, an open-source collection that also contains datasets of books, Wikipedia articles, and more. Last year, an analysis of one dataset called Books3 revealed which authors’ work had been used to train AI systems, and the dataset has been cited in lawsuits by authors against the companies that used it to train AI.
AI companies are rarely willingly transparent about the data that goes into their AI systems; how YouTube content specifically is being used has been a key question in recent months. In March, when OpenAI unveiled its powerful video generation tool, Sora, CTO Mira Murati repeatedly dodged questions about whether the system was trained on YouTube videos.
“I’m not going to go into the details of the data that was used, but it was publicly available or licensed data,” she told The Wall Street Journal at the time. When pressed by the Journal about YouTube content specifically, Murati said she “wasn’t sure about that.”
In previous interviews, YouTube CEO Neal Mohan has said that the use of video content to train AI — including transcripts — would violate the platform’s terms. And in May on an episode of Decoder, Google CEO Sundar Pichai agreed with Mohan’s assessment that if OpenAI had indeed trained Sora on YouTube content, it would have broken YouTube’s terms.
“We have terms and conditions, and we would expect people to abide by those terms and conditions when you build a product, so that’s how I felt about it,” Pichai said.

Here are a handful of Prime Day tech deals you can nab for $50 or less

Amazon’s latest Fire TV Stick 4K Max, which can showcase artwork and widgets when idle, is down to just $34.99 for Prime Day. | Image: Amazon

Amazon Prime Day has officially arrived, bringing with it an abundance of deals spanning all price points and categories. And while many of the steepest discounts in the world of tech are reserved for premium noise-canceling headphones and TVs, there are still plenty of budget-friendly gadgets and gizmos on sale for those looking to pick up cheap(er) basics, fitness bands, or one of several AAA games for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X / S, or PlayStation 5.

The bulk of the sub-$50 highlights below are currently exclusive to Amazon Prime subscribers, though, in some instances, retailers such as Best Buy and Walmart are matching Amazon’s pricing. That means, regardless of where you choose to shop, there are still ways to save on an assortment of Verge-approved goodies.

The best earbud and speaker deals under $50

The JBL Go 3 is currently on sale at Amazon for $29.95 ($20 off), which is just $5 shy of its lowest price to date. The compact Bluetooth speaker offers up to five hours of battery life, a built-in loop, and IP67 waterproofing, which makes it a great picnic companion so long as you don’t need something with booming sound.
The best entertainment deals under $50

Roku’s Streaming Stick 4K is down to $29 ($21 off) at Amazon, nearly matching its second-best price to date. Roku’s go-to streaming device is one of the more straightforward options you can get, with a big, easily accessible grid, great search functionality, and all the streaming apps you might want. It also supports Dolby Vision HDR as well as Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri. Read our review.

Amazon is offering a three-month trial of Audible Premium Plus for free through July 31st, allowing you to save $44.85 over the course of the trial period. The versatile subscription grants you one credit per month — which you can use to add any book you want to your Audible library — along with a rotating list of thousands of other titles.
Prime members can currently get a five-month subscription to Amazon Music Unlimited for free, which equates to a savings of $50. Non-Prime members are also eligible for the deal, but they’ll only get three months for free. The $9.99 monthly subscription grants you ad-free access to millions of podcast episodes and over 100 million songs.

The best gaming deals under $50

The Super Mario RPG remake is currently matching its all-time low of $39.75 (about $20 off) at Amazon. The newer Nintendo Switch game is pretty straightforward as far as remakes go, with the same heartfelt story and Final Fantasy-style turn-based battles that made the original for the SNES so beloved. Only this time, it looks a whole lot better. Read our review.
The Nintendo Switch version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is on sale at Amazon for $24.99 ($12 off). That’s the second-best price we’ve seen on the retro-inspired beat ’em up, which takes the tried-and-true formula established by the ’90s-era TMNT arcade games and modernizes them with six-player co-op and modern pixel art.

Hori’s Split Pad Compact, a smaller version of our pick for the best Nintendo Switch controller for handheld mode, is down to $49.99 ($10 off) at Amazon in select styles. Like the Pro model, the Compact includes assignable back paddles and the option to engage turbo mode for superfast button presses. That said, it lacks some of the features found on Nintendo’s Joy-Con controllers, including rumble and NFC. Read our hands-on impressions.

Razer’s wired Wolverine V2 has fallen to $49.99 ($50 off) at Amazon, which nearly matches the best price we’ve seen on the excellent Xbox / PC gamepad. The pro-grade controller sports a few more enthusiast features than the standard Xbox Wireless Controller, including “mecha-tactile” switches under the D-pad and face buttons, trigger stops, and a couple of macro buttons for further customization. Read our hands-on impressions.
If you’re not a fan of using your gamepad as a controller, the Long Edition of 8BitDo’s Media Remote is available at Amazon for an all-time low of $14.99 ($10 off). The handy Xbox Series X / S accessory features backlit buttons, a dedicated number pad, and plenty of shortcuts for navigation; however, your Xbox must be positioned within the line of sight to use the infrared accessory. Read our review.

The best smart home deals under $50

Amazon’s latest bedside smart speaker, the 2024 Echo Spot, is already on sale for $44.99 ($30 off) for Prime subscribers. The semicircular speaker is similar to the latest Pop in that it supports Alexa and can control various Matter devices in your home, only it also features a 2.83-inch, 240 x 320-pixel touchscreen with customizable clock faces and animations.
Amazon’s latest Echo Show 5 is available at Amazon for $49.99 ($40 off), which is just $10 shy of the all-time low we saw during Black Friday. The third-gen smart display is similar to its second-gen model but sports an updated mic array, improved processing power, and a (slightly) more powerful speaker system that allows for clearer audio quality and better bass.

Ring Indoor Cam (second-gen) is matching its all-time low of $29.99 ($30 off) at Amazon right now. Ring’s wired, motion-activated camera features a built-in siren, two-way audio, night vision, and 1080p HD recording. The second-gen version also includes a redesigned mount that lets you easily adjust the camera’s view, not to mention a manual privacy cover that disables all audio and video recording.

The best charging accessory deals under $50

The sleek Baseus Airpow Power Bank, one of the picks featured in our 2024 Mother’s Day gift guide, is currently on sale at Amazon for $15.99. The 20-watt, 10,000mAh portable charger, which includes both USB-A and USB-C ports for juicing smartphones, tablets, and other electronic devices at moderate speeds.
Miscellaneous deals under $50

Nerf’s first gel blaster, the Gelfire Mythic, is now available at Amazon for $31.49 (about $39 off), which is its second-best price to date. The fully automatic blaster sports a removable barrel and a retractable stock; it also comes with 10,000 water-infused pellets instead of relying on reusable foam darts or balls.
If all you want is a cheap way to dig into Amazon content, the latest Amazon Fire HD 8 is down to $64.99 at Amazon in 32GB, ad-supported configuration. The eight-inch slate offers solid performance for under 50 bucks, with USB-C charging, hands-free Alexa functionality, and up to 13 hours of battery life. Its HD display isn’t as nice as that of the Fire HD 10, though, for the price, it’s hard to complain.

Settlers of Catan, aka the gold standard of resource management games, is down to $25.99 ($34 off) at Amazon for Prime Day. That’s not an all-time low, but it’s the best price we’ve seen on the four-player tabletop game within the last year or so.
The Lego rendition of Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing is on sale at Amazon for $34.99 ($15 off), matching its second-best price to date. The 474-piece model starfighter features a retractable landing gear, two spring-loaded shooters, and a nice collection of minifigs, including Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and everyone’s favorite astromech.
For the second time this month, Amazon is selling iOttie’s Easy One Touch Wireless 2 for around $40 ($10 off). The Qi wireless dashboard charger — which remains one of our favorite car gadgets — comes with a one-touch locking mechanism and an adjustable foot that can accommodate most phones, including extra-large models up to 3.7 inches in size.

A dedicated tripod is a far better solution than a rock for capturing landscape photos and family selfies. Fortunately, Joby’s GripTight One GP Stand is down to its second-best price to date at Amazon, where you can currently grab it for $16.15 (about $18 off). The sturdy stand can accommodate most phones thanks to its adjustable clamp, and it comes with a flexible design that allows you to anchor it on the ground or to a variety of objects.

Celebrate this special day of internet sales with the latest apparel from your friends at The Verge. Amazon might be holding its annual Prime Day sale this week, but The Verge is hosting our very own promotion over on our merch store. On July 16th and 17th, all of our latest apparel and accessories at The Verge Store are 30 percent off. (Discount automatically applied.)
In case you missed it, we launched a new slate of products a few weeks ago, and we were thrilled with the reception. If you haven’t already picked up one of our new higher-quality T-shirts or sweatshirts — or gotten yourself a bigger and better Verge mug — now’s your chance to get them at a big discount.
And if you spend $15 or more, you can download one of our premium wallpaper packs for free if you add one to your cart alongside your purchases — no code needed.
Our new Monogram Tees, featuring The Verge’s logomark on the front and wordmark on the sleeve, are available in black and white. This new apparel looks and feels nicer than anything we’ve made before — they’re 100 percent cotton, pre-shrunk, and will maintain a consistent fit. Their minimalist designs also make them ideal for wearing in virtually any situation.

The Monogram Hoodie is made of 80 percent cotton and 20 percent recycled polyester fleece. It features a kangaroo pocket on the front — and when you flip the hood up, you’ll reveal The Verge wordmark right on the back.

The new larger mugs feature a black-and-white design, while the stickers have a slick holographic look. We’re very excited about both — but have we mentioned that the mug is bigger now? Because it’s bigger now. Not, like, Ajit Pai’s Reese’s mug big, but bigger nonetheless.

But wait, there’s more! You can also save on our latest product collaboration with Nomad. Our blurple sport band for Apple Watch is 10 percent off through July 22nd over on Nomad’s site.

Sling TV is adding 4K streaming at no extra charge. The service is kicking off its higher-resolution streams with the Fox Sports MLB All-Star Game broadcast in 4K tonight at 5PM PT / 8PM ET. But you’ll need the right Roku or Amazon Fire TV device (see this list) for 4K to work.
The game is available to Sling Blue subscribers who live in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City, and other major cities. Beyond the All-Star Game, Sling says it will offer other 4K sports broadcasts, including the 2024 Paris Olympics and college or NFL football games that are shown on networks like FS1 and ESPN.

YouTube TV also streams network broadcasts in 4K, but it’s an extra $9.99 per month on top of its usual $72.99 monthly fee. Meanwhile, Sling TV subscriptions start at $40 per month, albeit for fewer channels and with the aforementioned device limitations, meaning you’re out of luck with an Apple TV or Google TV.

The best Apple deals available for Amazon Prime Day 2024

The third-gen AirPods have dropped to a new all-time low price. | Photo by Chris Welch / The Verge

Thanks to Amazon Prime Day, you don’t need to wait until Black Friday this year to save big on Apple gadgets. Despite being an Amazon event, some of the best deals surprisingly include popular Apple products, ranging from the high-end latest AirPods Pro to the entry-level third-gen AirPods — both of which have new all-time low prices.

It’s not just AirPods that are receiving steep discounts, though, but also the Apple Watch Series 9, the latest iPad, and other excellent Apple devices. Below, we’ve rounded up the cream of the crop to make diving through the deals easier. If you’re interested in deals outside of the Apple ecosystem, check out our main Prime Day roundup so you can save even more.
The best AirPods deals

Normally $549.99, right now Apple’s AirPods Max are on sale for $394.99 at Amazon, which marks a new all-time low price. Apple’s only pair of over-ears are an excellent pair of noise-canceling headphones for those embedded in Apple’s ecosystem, with excellent sound, good noise cancellation, and a natural-sounding transparency mode for when you need to hear your surroundings.

If you don’t need perks like noise cancellation and you just want the cheapest pair of Apple earbuds money can buy, the second-generation AirPods with a Lightning charging case are available for $69 ($60 off) from Amazon. The 2019 wireless earbuds lack the water resistance found in the third-gen model, but they’re still a good pair of wireless earbuds that deliver solid sound, reliable performance, and good battery life.
If you’re looking for a basic pair of wired earbuds that work with multiple Apple devices, you can buy a pair of USB-C EarPods on sale at Amazon for $17 ($2 off), which is their best price to date. They may not offer bells and whistles like active noise cancellation, but the buds offer terrific mics and impressive sound quality.

The Beats Fit Pro are on sale for $149.99 ($50 off) at Amazon, which is a new record-low price. The wireless earbuds are our favorite for sports and working out, partly thanks to built-in wing tips that keep them secure during vigorous workouts. They also sport swappable ear tips for greater comfort as well as terrific noise cancellation, great sound quality, and an IPX4 rating for water resistance.

The best Apple Watch deals

The second-generation Apple Watch is also down to an all-time low, with the 40mm GPS-enabled model going for $169.99 ($79 off) at Amazon and the 44mm size available for $199.99. The entry-level smartwatch doesn’t offer the always-on display or advanced health features found in the Apple Watch Series 9 like temperature and EKG sensors. However, it still does a good job of tracking standard fitness and wellness metrics, while offering extra perks like support for Crash Detection, emergency calling, fall detection, and Apple Pay.

The best iPad deals

Normally $799, you can also buy the 13-inch M2-powered iPad Air with Wi-Fi and 128GB of storage on sale for its all-time low price of $738 from Amazon. The 13-inch variant offers the same feature set as the 11-inch model but is slightly heavier and obviously sports a more spacious display.

You can also buy the M4-powered iPad Pro in its 13-inch configuration with 256GB of storage and Wi-Fi for $1,198 ($101 off) from Amazon. Like the 13-inch iPad Air, the 13-inch iPad Pro is identical to its smaller sibling, with the same design and OLED display, but its screen is simply larger.

You can buy the USB-C Apple Pencil for $69.99 ($9 off) at Amazon, which matches its all-time low price. While the iPad accessory can’t charge while docked and doesn’t support wireless charging, it is capable of magnetically attaching to the side of your iPad for easy storage. It also lacks pressure sensitivity and pairing, but it does offer tilt sensitivity and is compatible with a range of iPads, including the entire current iPad lineup, from the iPad Pro to the 2021 iPad Mini and 2022 iPad.

The best MacBook deals

The 15-inch MacBook Air with the M3 chip, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage is also on sale for $1,449 from Amazon instead of its usual price of $1,699 The 15-inch Air is almost exactly the same as the 13-inch model but with a larger display and a better speaker array.

Normally $1,299, Amazon is also selling its 15-inch MacBook Air with M2 with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage on sale for $1,099 . Like with the M3 model, the 15-inch M2-powered laptop is just like its last-gen 13-inch counterpart but features six speakers instead of four that sound much better, starts with a 10-core GPU, and features a spacious 15.3-inch display.
Miscellaneous Apple deals

You can buy the wireless Apple Magic Keyboard for $89.99 ($10 off) from Amazon, which is one of its better prices to date this year. The USB-C keyboard works with a range of Apple devices, including compatible iPads, MacBooks, and even iPhones via Bluetooth.
