As you progress through the main story of Once Human, you’ll come across Rift Anchors which are required in order for you to keep going along the questing path.
However, a lot of players are coming across them and realizing they don’t have access yet, leaving them a little dumbfounded.
If you’re one of these, we’ll reveal why you’re receiving the Once Human ‘No Access to Rift Anchor’ message so you can get it corrected right away.
Once Human No Access to Rift Anchor explained
If you’ve come across a Rift Anchor on your travels and are a little baffled as to why it’s not letting you use it, it’s because there are some prerequisites before you’re able to do so.
Rift Anchors are tied specifically to the main story, requiring you to complete the main quests/tasks in a specific region, with only the Monolith boss left, in order to unlock the ability to use them.
Once you have completed the required number of main quests in the region to allow access to the Rift Anchor, it will then be marked with a bright purple beam of light so you know it’s good to use.
One thing to note here though is that if you’re still not able to use the Rift Anchor in your desired region, it could be that you didn’t defeat the Monolith Boss in the previous area, which will have required Rift Anchor access also.
Essentially, just play through the main story and you shouldn’t come across the No Access to Rift Anchor message since you’re doing everything in the correct order.

Google has announced the discontinuation of yet another product, this time the VPN service One VPN which was provided to subscribers to Google One. The service will shut down on Jul 20, 2024.
One VPN was launched in 2020 to higher tier customers of Google One, Google’s expanded storage subscription service. Then in 2023, the service was expanded to include all One subscribers.
Google described VPNs as a valuable service that added an important layer of security, especially for anyone using public wifi networks. They also launched dedicated Mac, Windows, Android, and iOS apps.
However, despite the tool’s utility, Google’s stated reason for the discontinuation suggests that it was not highly used. “With the focus on providing the most in-demand features, VPN by Google One has been discontinued. However, it’ll continue to be available as a built-in capability on Pixel 7 and up devices and via Google Fi Wireless,” reads the Google support page.
Google will continue to support the built-in VPN included on Pixel 7 and above phones and as part of Google Fi Wireless.
The Google Graveyard
Over the years, Google has gained a reputation for launching or acquiring products, encouraging user investment into the larger Google ecosystem, before killing off a beloved tool.
The website Killed by Google lists almost 300 tools and products that the tech giant has canceled over the years.
One recent instance that caused upset among fans was the shuttering of Google Podcasts, a podcast hosting and listening app first launched in 2018. While it was beloved by users for its simplicity, it was closed down in favor of moving users over to YouTube Music, which many do not see as an equivalent experience.
Last year Google shuttered its gaming console Stadia, offering full refunds to all customers who purchased their devices through the Google Store.
While on these occasions Google has done what it can to make customers whole (either through refunds or an easy data transfer process), this continued shuttering of products is making users reluctant to invest in any Google products. “I think it could end up being their downfall someday. I am getting very reluctant to use their products as I do not know what will remain for the long term,” said one Reddit user commenting on the One VPN news.
“I’m already using alternative apps because I don’t trust Google not to destroy them. I liked Google Keep, but I don’t want to deal with the hassle of moving everything when it goes away,” said another user in the same thread.

On Thursday 11 July, billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk pledged to sue those purportedly involved in the advertising boycott of tech giant X.
“Having seen the evidence unearthed today by Congress, X has no choice but to file suit against the perpetrators and collaborators in the advertising boycott racket, Musk said in a post on his declining platform. “Hopefully, some states will consider criminal prosecution.”
What did Ben Shapiro say?
In this post, Musk was responding to footage of Ben Shapiro’s congressional testimony as part of the House Judiciary Committee’s investigation into the purported censorship and boycott of right-wing voices by the Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM. )In his testimony, the Daily Wire co-founder claimed that X, along with Google and Meta, was coerced by senator Dianne Feinstein into adopting guidelines from GARM. This so-called coercion, Shapiro claimed, occurred in 2017.
He then went on to compare GARM to a “cartel,” claiming that member contributions account for 90% of US ad spending. “If you’re not following their preferred political narratives […] you will not be deemed brand safe,” he said. “Your business will be throttled.”
He then went on to claim that there’s “an informal pressure system created by Democratic legislators, this White House, legacy media, advertisers and pseudo-objective brand safety organizations.”
“That system,” he added, “guarantees that advertising dollars flow only to left-wing media brands.”
What did GARM say?
In a statement to Ars Technica, GARM said that the organization “has continually demonstrated that it will cooperate with the House Judiciary Committee in good faith.”
“We remain steadfast in the conviction that GARM enhances transparency in previously opaque practices relative to ad placements in digital social media,” GARM said. “GARM creates voluntary industry standards on brand safety and suitability which media sellers and ad tech companies can voluntarily adopt, adapt or reject. This in turn allows advertisers to make choices similar to the way they buy advertising in TV, print or radio. GARM’s work focuses on voluntary monetization standards while establishing voluntary steps to improve transparency on content moderation and platform design.”
The awkward part of all of this is that X only recently rejoined GARM — but based on Elon’s latest tantrum, we don’t see it being part of the organization for much longer.

Popular pro racing sim iRacing was taken offline earlier today after a hack attack that has lasted over a week. iRacing is a subscription-based race sim that attracts hardcore sim racers to its platform but the attack rendered the game unplayable for a period of time.
“We have been experiencing intermittent DDoS attacks for the past eight days,” said iRacing’s Senior VP and Executive Producer Greg Hill.
“This has culminated with sustained attacks this afternoon and evening. Our operations team has been continuously engaged in attempting to mitigate these attacks from a bad actor(s).
“We apologize for the disruption to the service that you are paying for. We strive to provide the best and most reliable racing service and know we are not reaching that goal.
“We will continue our efforts to resolve the issue – it is a serious federal crime with serious penalties to use such methods to attack an individual or company. We are working with the proper authorities regarding this bad actor(s).”
A DDoS (distributed denial of service) is a pretty Neanderthal level of attack described by Cloudflare as thus:
“A distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack is a malicious attempt to disrupt the normal traffic of a targeted server, service or network by overwhelming the target or its surrounding infrastructure with a flood of Internet traffic.
DDoS attacks achieve effectiveness by utilizing multiple compromised computer systems as sources of attack traffic. Exploited machines can include computers and other networked resources such as IoT devices.
From a high level, a DDoS attack is like an unexpected traffic jam clogging up the highway, preventing regular traffic from arriving at its destination.”
This unsophisticated cyber attack does not seek to gain personal data or files, rather to basically bombard the web server with enough traffic normal users cannot access it. It’s all a bit “what’s the actual point?” really.
iRacing is now back up and running and doubtless the company is redoubling its efforts to fend off the next inevitable waste of time.

It’s been a lonely 11 years for college football fans without the old NCAA Football series, an enormously deep sports simulation that EA Sports had to cancel in 2013 under a hail of lawsuits over player compensation. Now that the NCAA has gotten its legal issues sorted out, College Football 25 is cleared for takeoff — and the sport it represents has seen even more changes in the intervening decade.
The return was publicly announced in February 2021, but development on a new college football game had begun before that. This is not the usual one-year iteration (although many sports video games’ features take longer than that to finish). There’s plenty inside College Football 25, which means there’s plenty to know before taking the field with your alma mater.
When will College Football 25 be released?
College Football 25 launches July 19, although those who preorder its Deluxe Edition will get three days of early access to the game. This also goes for pre-ordering the MVP bundle that combines the Madden NFL 25 Deluxe Edition with the College Football 25 Deluxe Edition.
How much will College Football 25 cost?
The standard version is $69.99, and the Deluxe Edition is $99.99. The aforementioned MVP bundle with Madden is $134.99, technically a $65 savings versus buying those two separately. But it is one of the pricier special editions we’ve seen, unless you’re already committed to buying both with all the bells and whistles.
What’s in the College Football 25 deluxe edition?
In addition to the three-day early access window, the deluxe edition includes extra content for Ultimate Team, plus 4,600 College Football Points, which is a currency used in that game’s version of Ultimate Team. Players get to choose two highly-rated players to start their teams, and they get a uniform cosmetic.
What platforms will College Football 25 be on?
College Football 25 is launching only on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. There is no PC or Nintendo Switch version of the game.
Will College Football 25 have every college football player, or just the stars?
College Football 25 will have complete rosters for all 134 Football Bowl Subdivision teams. EA Sports announced in February that 13,000 athletes had opted in to a $600 per-player agreement to use their name, image, and likeness in the game. That also means rosters in the game will expand to 85 (covering the number of scholarship athletes a team may have), up about 30 from the old NCAA Football 14.
Who is on the cover of College Football 25?
College Football 25’s standard edition is fronted by three stars: quarterback Quinn Evers, of Texas; wide receiver and defensive back Travis Hunter of Colorado, and Michigan running back Donovan Edwards. The deluxe edition cover features the same three, seen from behind with their names and uniform numbers, following several other stars from different schools onto the field.
Who are the best players in College Football 25?
EA Sports has revealed the 100 best players, by overall rating, the day the game launches (ratings will change to reflect real-life performance, the same as in Madden). Among all positions, the top 5 are Will Johnson, the Michigan cornerback; Will Campbell, LSU’s left tackle; halfback Ollie Gordon of Ohio State, and Tennessee defensive end James Pearce. Among the cover stars, Hunter is rated a 95 (sixth overall); Evers is a 92, and Edwards is a 91.
What else will be in College Football 25?
This is the first college football game — of any kind — since EA Sports cancelled its old NCAA Football series in 2013. Fans can expect a comprehensively new game, not just something that mimics the feature set of a title from two console generations ago. (Although the “toughest places to play” rankings, and gameplay details differentiating the bigger venues, does make a return).
In one respect, this means new real-world developments in the sport itself will be included in its career modes. Coaches in Dynasty mode will find themselves managing the new Transfer Portal, which allows players to change teams year-to-year. That also goes for Road to Glory, where players create a single star and take him through a four-year career.
College Football 25 is making a big push on gameday experience, with visuals, traditions, cinematics, and other nods to what a big game is like at each of the 134 schools in major college football. This video shows the kind of work that went into recreating the many signature runouts, good-luck gestures, stadium seat patterns, and other traditions each school has. This is supplemented by two announcing teams: ESPN’s real-life No. 1 pairing of Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit, with ESPN announcers Rece Davis, Jesse Palmer, and David Pollack taking the mike for more regional-type broadcasts.
Unrelated, but also of note, TeamBuilder, the web-based tool that allowed players to create and customize schools to their heart’s content, and bring them into the game on their console, will return for College Football 25. While all 134 Football Bowl Subdivision teams are, if you want to fictionally promote a Football Championship Subdivision team to the big time, this tool will let you do that, with a little work on the uniform design and the rosters.
Will there be an Ultimate Team in College Football 25?
EA Sports released a deep-dive blog post about the mode just yesterday (July 11). It appears to be a rather standard approach to the mode, with a lot of the experience similar to the current Madden NFL Ultimate Team.
One notable difference is the Stories of the Week set of challenges, which in the month before schools open their season will relive some of 2023’s bigger performances, then update with live content from there to capture the doings of the current season.
There will also be something called ICYMI, which goes further back into college football history (though it sounds like recent, not ancient, history) to spotlight notable performances, record-setters, and championship runs. A Field Pass that is free to all players functions as a kind of Battle Pass, with unlockable tiers of content items, currency, and other bonuses as players progress through its set of goals.

The former Toronto Raptors forward Jontay Porter, 24, who was banned from the NBS for sports betting, has admitted to a gambling scheme where he tipped off gamblers in advance of rigged games, which netted them a million dollars.
Porter admitted to engaging in gambling fraud and placing his own bets “in order to get out from under a large gambling debt,” reports the Daily Mail. “I know what I did was wrong and unlawful, and I’m deeply sorry for my conduct,” he added.
The ex-star pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and will be subject to fines and institutions of around $456,000. Prosecutors have recommended that he receive 41-51 months of jail time in his sentencing, scheduled for December 18.
He is currently out on bond for $250,000, which has been insured by his wife and mother. He has also been required to attend gambling counseling. Porter had previously told judges that he had been “an inpatient at a rehab facility for gambling”.
Porter was part of a gambling ring that made $1 million from betting on rigged games
Four other men have been implicated in the gambling ring and fraud charges. Porter tipped off the group to bet on certain games he planned to rig by deliberately underperforming. They encouraged him to clear his gambling debts through their successes, according to prosecutors.
On the day Porter faced his lifelong NBA ban for betting on games (including betting against his own team), he contacted the men, warning them of potential law involvement. He told them they “might get hit w a rico,” meaning a federal racketeering charge, and asked them to delete incriminating data from their phones.
The charges state that the four men placed ‘prop bets’ on Porter’s performance in certain games that Porter told them he would underperform in through a group chat.
In a January 26 game against the Los Angeles Clippers, Porter tipped off one of the men that he would be taking himself out of the game early, indicating it would be a prime target for a prop bet.
Porter spent just four minutes on the court before coming off with an apparent injury.
Jontay Porter repeated this on March 20 in a game against the Sacramento Kings, leaving the game early due to claimed sickness.

As the crypto world shifts towards greener solutions, BlockDAG is transforming the landscape of cryptocurrency mining with its forward-thinking and environmentally conscious approach. Offering early investors a golden ticket during its presale, BlockDAG aims to capitalize on the expanding crypto market.
Leveraging groundbreaking technology inspired by Bitcoin and Kaspa, BlockDAG is committed to building a decentralized, efficient, and secure blockchain ecosystem. This article delves into the essential components of BlockDAG, covering its presale, investment promise, credibility, investment strategy, and upcoming exchange listings. This knowledge will guide investors toward making well-informed decisions regarding this exciting cryptocurrency venture.
1. What is BlockDAG Presale?
BlockDAG’s presale is a golden opportunity for early birds to snag BDAG coins before they hit the public market. Starting in late December 2023, the presale offers these tokens at a reduced rate, allowing investors to grab a substantial amount of BDAG at a bargain compared to anticipated public prices.
Spread over 45 batches, the presale is designed to gather funds for further platform development, spark market interest, draw in strategic allies, and navigate regulatory waters. Early investors get the advantage of lower token prices and the possibility of higher returns as the network matures.
2. Is BlockDAG a Wise Investment?
Investing in BlockDAG during its presale could prove to be highly profitable, thanks to its innovative nature and significant return potential. Historical data from early backers of giants like Ethereum and Bitcoin show hefty financial rewards. BlockDAG offers diverse revenue avenues, including trading its coins, mining, and selling specialized mining equipment, presenting it as a multifaceted investment opportunity.
Moreover, BlockDAG’s commitment to eco-friendly mining and plans for a rapid mainnet launch within four months post-presale underline its potential for long-term success and profitability. The limited availability of tokens and staggered pricing further boost its allure as an investment.
3. Is BlockDAG Legitimate?
Indeed, BlockDAG is a legitimate cryptocurrency initiative. The growing presale participation is proof of the project’s solidity and prospective success. BlockDAG employs advanced cooling technologies like heat sinks and thermal pads, along with cutting-edge algorithms for stable, green mining operations.
Drawing inspiration from established protocols like those of Bitcoin and Kaspa, BlockDAG introduces its tailored improvements to meet specific crypto space needs. Its blend of hybrid consensus mechanisms, swift transaction capabilities, and a decentralized framework reinforces its genuine stature in the blockchain realm.
4. How to Invest in BlockDAG?
The investment process in BlockDAG is quite straightforward. Here’s how you can get started:
Head to the BlockDAG Website: Visit the official BlockDAG website and create an account.
Join the Presale: Buy BDAG coins during the presale to take advantage of the reduced prices. Investment amounts can vary, allowing flexibility according to your financial situation.
Download the BlockDAG X1 Crypto Miner App: This app is available for Android and iOS users and enables the mining of BDAG coins. You can also opt for dedicated mining rigs available on the BlockDAG website.
Set Up Your Mining Equipment or App: Follow the provided guidelines to ensure your mining setup is correctly configured.
Ensure a Reliable Network Connection: A stable connection is crucial for effective communication with the BlockDAG network.
Adjust Mining Pool Settings: Fine-tune your settings to optimize your mining operations and increase your BDAG coin yield.
5. Where Will BlockDAG Be Listed?
Following the presale, BDAG will be listed on key centralized and decentralized exchanges, ensuring easy access and liquidity for investors keen on trading BDAG coins.
The availability of various trading platforms allows multiple transaction options for BDAG, boosting its market presence and user interaction. Detailed announcements regarding specific exchanges will be made as the presale concludes, offering clarity on where and how to trade BDAG coins.
Final Thoughts
BlockDAG stands as a pioneering force in the cryptocurrency industry, blending state-of-the-art technology with strategic investment opportunities. Its presale, promising investment prospects, and swift development pace highlight its potential as a market leader.
Focusing on sustainable mining and decentralization, BlockDAG is set to attract a broad investor base. As it gears up for its mainnet launch and listing on exchanges, keeping abreast of its developments is vital for those looking to invest in this innovative and promising cryptocurrency project.

The post Concord Beta Early Access – Release time, how to access, dates, and more appeared first on ReadWrite.
Concord is looking to take on the likes of Overwatch and Destiny 2 with a hero PvP shooter set in space.
To get some game time in before launch, there are a couple of beta weekends Firewalk Studios has put in place, allowing you to get accustomed to how it plays and learning the abilities of all the characters.
The first of these is the Concord Beta Early Access, and here, we’ll reveal a bunch of information on it including release time, how the dates, how to gain access, and more, so you know as much as possible before jumping in.
Concord Beta Early Access release time
The Concord Beta Early Access will have a global release time, meaning that it launches everywhere around the world at the same time.
This also means there will be no advantage to New Zealand, for example, which typically gains access to games ahead of the US if a global time isn’t in place.
Here are the Concord Beta Early Access release times for various regions:
July 12 10am PDT
July 12 1pm EDT
July 12 2pm BRT
July 12 6pm BST
July 12 7pm CEST
July 13 2am JST
July 13 2am KST
July 13 2am AEST
Concord Beta Early Access dates
The Concord Beta Early Access will run from July 12 to July 14, giving you a whole two days (depending on your release time) to play before the floodgates open for the Open Beta.
How to play Concord Beta Early Access
To play the Concord Beta Early Access, you must have a PS Plus subscription, pre-ordered any version of the game itself, or know someone who has, since four extra codes will have been given to them to provide to others.
Now you can simply input the code on your platform of choice and you should be prepped. Just make sure your PC meets the Concord system requirements if you’re playing there.
This is fantastic for those who aren’t really sold on the idea of the game yet and want to get a little time in before dropping the cash on the full experience.
It also means that if you’re the one that has made the commitment to buy, you can get your friends in instead of the more solo affair that betas usually offer.
Concord Beta Early Access maps, modes, and characters
There are four maps on offer in the Concord Beta Early Access – Freewater, Star Chamber, Water Hazard, and Shock Risk.
Each of these appears to have very different aesthetics and layout, hopefully allowing for some varied gameplay.
As for the modes available, you’ll be able to get stuck into Cargo Run, Clash Point, and Trophy Hunt.
These, again, are very different to each other, with Trophy Hunt being the quick and dirty mode, whereas Cargo Run is all about strategy to retrieve Blue Buddy.
And finally, all 16 characters will actually be available to play. This is amazing for a beta, and more than provides you with the opportunity to secure your main for launch.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) have signed a gaming partnership that will see the Olympic eSports games held regularly in the Kingdom over the next 12 years.
The inaugural eSports Olympics will be held in Riyadh next year with the dates of future events not yet announced.
Saudi sports minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal said the country “has become a global hub for professional esports. This is a natural next step for our young athletes, our country, and the global esports community.”
The deal still needs to be ratified by the membership of the IOC at its next meeting on the 23rd and 24th of this month in Paris ahead of the Summer Olympic Games. This is expected to only be a formality however with the deal already agreed.
Prince Abdulaziz said in a post on X, “We are excited to partner with the IOC and plan together the first-ever Olympic Esports Games. A bright new era begins. Another huge addition to our lineup of major sporting events. Welcome to Saudi Arabia”

The IOC’s President Thomas Bach said, “We are very fortunate to be able to work with the Saudi NOC on the Olympic Esports Games, because it has great – if not unique – expertise in the field of esports with all its stakeholders.”
Bach has previously stated that the eSports event will have a different financial model from the Summer and Winter Games, both of which share revenue with the governing bodies of participating sports.
Last December we reported that Saudi Arabia was vying to become a global force in eSports and gaming entertainment and had unveiled a multi-billion dollar entertainment region called the Qiddiya Entertainment District featuring a huge new eSports arena with one of the world’s largest total areas of video screens to relay the action stating that the arena “will be unique in esports in both scale and user experience.”

Once Human is definitely a multi-layered experience testing both your survival skills and your ability to forage for all the gear you’ll need to progress.
One interesting mechanic that you might not have much knowledge on is the Wish Machine. If you acquire and utilize it though, you’ll gain a bunch of new blueprints.
Below, we’ll teach you all on the Once Human Wish Machine, revealing how to get and use it so you can take advantage of this equipment.
How to get Wish Machine in Once Human
Contrary to the betas of Once Human, you can simply craft the Wish Machine instead of having to go through a quest to unlock it.
First, you’ll have to gain access to the Wish Machine blueprint which requires you to utilize three Ciphers and 200 Energy Link in the Cradle Logistics tree.
You’ll then have the opportunity to craft the Wish Machine, ready for placing in your Territory.
This will set you back quite a few materials though, and here is the full list you need:
25 Copper Ingot
10 Rusted Parts
5 Metal Scraps
3 Rubber
5 Glass
Once you have everything in your inventory, simply get it crafted and placed in your base and you’ll be good to go!
How to use Wish Machine in Once Human
With the Wish Machine up and running, you’ll have two options to pick from when interacting with it – Make a Spin and Blueprint Shop.
The Make a Spin function is essentially a gacha mechanic where you can play different types of games to earn rewards.
There are six games in total, each offering differing prize pools but starting out, you’ll just have The Long-Awaited.
In The Long-Awaited for example, you’ll be playing whack a mole, spending 100 Starchrom every time you use the hammer, so make sure you get a hit and earn one of the rewards in the pool.
The amount of Starchrom increases in the latter games since there are more prizes on offer with also an increased rarity.
The Blueprint Shop option is a little different as instead of a game of chance, you’re able to simply spend your Starchrom on the blueprints you want.
There is a hefty premium on these though, with some of the more rare ones reaching the lofty heights of 8000 Starchrom.
