It’s that time of year again where soccer fans around the world come together to celebrate the announcement of the next iteration of EA’s take on the beautiful game.

As is the trend with most big games today, EA FC 25 has a variety of pre-order bonuses but since there are multiple editions of the game, things get a bit convoluted.

Here, we’re looking to give the raw facts to you on what the EA FC 25 pre-order bonuses are so you’re able to select the right one for you ahead of the highly anticipated release.

EA FC 25 pre-order bonuses explained

Since we now have our first look at EA FC 25, we also know what pre-order bonuses are on offer for both the Standard Edition and Ultimate Edition of the game.

Here is what you can get for pre-ordering each of the editions, maybe enticing you to hit that purchase button.

EA FC 25 Standard Edition pre-order bonuses

Sadly, there aren’t any real big hitters when it comes to the pre-order bonuses for the Standard Edition of EA FC 25.

This is a little disappointing when compared to the Ultimate Edition list but is to be expected with the price difference and what has occurred in previous releases of the game.

Here is what you receive for pre-ordering the EA FC 25 Standard Edition:

Football Ultimate Team Player Loan Item
Ambassador Loan Item
Clubs PlayStyles Slot
250000 Clubs Coins
Player Career Personality Points
3 ICONs in Player Career
5-star Coach in Manager Career
5-star Youth Scout in Manager Career

EA FC 25 Ultimate Edition pre-order bonuses

Since the Ultimate Edition is the more expensive of the two versions, you’ll be receiving a boatload more goodies.

Plus, there’s an added extra incentive if you pre-order earlier than most others.

Here is the full list:

Football Ultimate Team Player Loan Item
Ambassador Loan Item

Following a recent hacking incident on X (formerly Twitter) affecting AI developer Ben Goertzel, Cardano (ADA) creator Charles Hoskinson has suggested implementing decentralized identifiers (DIDs) to enhance the platform’s security.

Elon @elonmusk, we need DIDs integrated into X. It solves all of these problems. Again, I’ll do it for free. https://t.co/iadaN2yLl2

— Charles Hoskinson (@IOHK_Charles) July 16, 2024

Hoskinson directed his proposal to X owner Elon Musk, offering to integrate the technology at no cost. Hoskinson argues that DIDs could significantly improve user verification and digital identity protection on X, potentially mitigating risks of unauthorized access and hacking attempts.

The suggestion sparked a debate with Timothy Ruff, a general partner at Digital Trust Ventures specializing in decentralized identity solutions. Ruff questioned the effectiveness of DIDs for true decentralization, advocating for a more comprehensive approach to identity management on social platforms.

If you’re using “DIDs” as short for decentralized identity (it’s not) and it’s on some blockchain, it’s not decentralized and should not be integrated into X.

That’s just embedding one platform into another. What X needs is truly decentralized identity, not blockchain.

— Timothy Ruff (@RuffTimo) July 16, 2024

Blockchain agnostic

In response, Hoskinson clarified that his proposed DID implementation would align with W3C standards and utilize a blockchain-agnostic framework for managing various aspects of digital identity. He emphasized the potential benefits for X in terms of security, access control, and regulatory compliance.

Hoskinson also highlighted that the system could work with no blockchain at all.

Despite differing opinions on the best approach, Hoskinson remains committed to advancing X’s capabilities. He has proposed forming an industry-wide working group to address identity challenges and position X as a critical public infrastructure.

Who is Charles Hoskinson?

Cardano is a blockchain platform that aims to provide a more sustainable, scalable, and efficient alternative to other cryptocurrencies. It uses a proof-of-stake consensus mechanism called Ouroboros, which is designed to be more energy-efficient than proof-of-work systems used by cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin.

Charles Hoskinson is one of the co-founders of Cardano and the CEO of IOHK (Input Output Hong Kong), the company primarily responsible for Cardano’s development.

Hoskinson’s a prominent figure in the cryptocurrency world, known for his involvement in the early days of Ethereum (ETH) as one of its co-founders. Hoskinson left the Ethereum project in 2014 due to disagreements over the project’s direction and later initiated the development of Cardano in 2015.

Former President of the United States (POTUS) Donald Trump has reversed his stance that TikTok was a “threat” since joining the application last month.

The previous POTUS is desperate to spread the word of his emerging political campaign on as many social media channels as possible. Over 170 million Americans use the video snippet app, and Trump’s social media platform, Trump Social, has been battered across a financially grueling year for the company.

Trump backtracks on TikTok stance

Trump’s joining TikTok is a bid to win the hearts and minds of younger voters, but it shows a complete backtracking from him after he was less than supportive of the app.

The former world leader also tried to ban TikTok and Chinese-owned WeChat in 2020 when he was in power. He was unsuccessful then and now hopes to use the app as a platform to garner votes.

He told Bloomberg News, “I’m for TikTok because you need competition. If you don’t have TikTok, you have Facebook and Instagram.”

What is even more interesting is that the former President is joining at a time when a ban on TikTok is looming.

ByteDance was told to sell the company to a U.S.-based company or divest as part of a drawn-out investigation into the security threats the app posed to Americans.

ByteDance has until January 19, 2025, to make the decision, but it has also pursued its own legal arguments against the current government stance.

In September of this year, ByteDance can give oral arguments against the ban after the U.S. Court of Appeals fast-tracked the court case.

Those earning a living off TikTok have also sued the U.S. government over the ban, citing the financial and expressive impacts. Those taking part in the case come from varied backgrounds, including a North Dakota college coach, a Mississippi hip-hop artist, a Marine veteran, a recent college graduate who advocates for the survivors of sexual assault, and a person giving parenting advice while baking.

The post EA Sports FC 25 gives women’s soccer a full fledged career mode in five leagues appeared first on ReadWrite.

Women’s soccer will have a fully featured single-player career mode in EA Sports FC 25 for the first time, allowing players to create a superstar and take her on a journey through five professional leagues at parity with the longstanding Career for male players.

“The key thing that we wanted to do was present the women’s career authentically, and make it feel like it really was, not just like ‘men’s career with women players,’” Pete O’Donnell, game design director on EA FC 25, said during a preview event July 11. “A lot of the systems behind the two mostly work the same; but it’s the financial models and other things that make a really big difference.”

EA Sports FC players can start a manager or player career in one of five leagues: England’s Women’s Super League; the United States’ National Women’s Soccer League; France’s Division 1 Féminine; Spain’s Liga F and Germany’s Frauen-Bundesliga. Big licenses are a calling card of EA Sports’ flagship sports product, O’Donnell said, and the development team wanted to give the women’s career the same treatment, as it also demonstrates a commitment to full parity.

EA Sports FC 25 will be the second team sports video game to establish a full women’s career mode. 2K Sports’ NBA 2K21 was the first with “The W” for the WNBA, and though it has evolved it is still a wholly separate mode that does not cross over with the game’s larger MyCareer mode based on the NBA, including its open world of rec league and street park games. What O’Donnell described last week is integrated within EA Sports FC 25’s Career suite, including the ability to retire as a women’s pro and cross over to a men’s league as a coach.

The women’s game itself in Career will emphasize youth soccer, where it plays a bigger role in developing talent for the parent club. That means the youth academy component of a manager’s career will, for the first time in EA FC, include playable events — for both women’s and men’s career. Players who start Career in a women’s league will also find tighter “financial models,” which, O’Donnell mentioned, won’t mean simply fewer dollars, pounds, or euros.

“The key kind of differences, within women’s football, is the finances,” O’Donnell said. “They’re managing tighter budgets, they’re negotiating a lot shorter contracts, and women’s football is a lot more people moving at the end of contracts when they’re out of contract, adapting to different salary structures, and the realities of smaller transfer portals.”

Contract negotiations for top stars are also a lot more competitive because of this, O’Donnell said. Rather than consider these differences hindrances, or a throttling of the men’s management system, O’Donnell said they help the women’s half of Career feel distinct, and present a wholly different challenge. Such nuances and emphases made their way into the mode after close consultation with experts in women’s professional soccer, O’Donnell said, two of whom are employed by EA Sports.

“I don’t want to sit here and say, ‘I know everything about women’s football,’” O’Donnell said. “We’ve got a woman on our team, Simone Laudehr, who scored the winning goal in the 2007 World Cup for Germany; we’re lucky enough to have Nicole [Baxter] an ex-NWSL player. We’ve been trying to surround ourselves with people who know more about [women’s] football.”

Youth academy play answers a longstanding request

Producer Andreas Wilsdorf said that the importance of youth soccer to the women’s professional game made EA FC 25 a great time to deliver on a longtime request from the game’s community, and that’s a playable youth academy — again, for both women’s and men’s career.

In the past, academy operations and promotions out of it have been handled strictly in-menu. Now, when EA FC 25’s gaffers visit the academy, they will be able to play with top prospects in EA FC 25’s new 4v4 Rush game, to get a feel for their pace, ball-handling, movement, finishing and the like.

“Just being able to play with your youth players just makes such a huge difference,” O’Donnell said. “It really brings it to life […] rather than it being on a spreadsheet, we’re actually bringing it to life.”

Rush, as described in our general preview, actually has five players, as one is an AI keeper. But it’s a fast-paced game whose limited roster means each player spends more time on the ball, which in Career’s case gives a manager more of a feel for what that prospect will play like, regardless of position.

Moreover, players can choose from two ways to play their budding stars in Career Rush — at their current overall rating, which will usually be somewhere in the 60s, or at their maximum potential rating, should everything go their way and they become a pro.

“The whole idea behind this was, imagine if you could have played [Lionel] Messi when he was 15 years old,” Wilsdorf explained. “Doing this, we think, you’ll get really attached to your youth players.”

These youth tournaments will take place every two months (in game time) Wilsdorf said and, yes, the players really will look like teenagers playing soccer — no more supposed 16-year-olds running around with full beards. They’ll change in physique, too, as they mature, he promised.

Scouting improvements will polish off your best virtual club

Scouting is the other off-the-field realm in which EA Sports FC 25 players will see deeper connections and bigger results. Wilsdorf said the game is adding another 90 countries to scout, bringing the total to 160 worldwide, with the overall goal of helping players find the next gold nugget, should their top star have eyes on another team or league.

Additionally, managers can direct their scouts to look at four specific positions, instead of just scouting a territory on the whole. Wilsdorf used strikers and attacking midfielders as an example, compensating for the expected loss of a top goal-scorer like Kevin de Bruyne at Manchester City.

As to that, Career will reflect real-world developments in that EA FC will offer players a chance to start a career not just from the beginning of a season, but in the middle of it, after major developments have gone through.

O’Donnell said these starting points will be updated on a live-service basis throughout the year, on a week-to-week basis, reflecting the roster, table, and other real-life developments among EA FC 25’s 11 different licensed leagues at that point. Really impactful changes, like a manager or player switching clubs, will become their own “snapshot” starting point, as well.

EA Sports FC 25 launches Sept. 27 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.

Donald Trump, the likely Republican presidential nominee, has announced plans for a fourth non-fungible token (NFT) collection, citing the success of his previous releases.

In a recent Bloomberg interview, Trump revealed that cryptocurrencies accounted for 80% of payments for his past NFT collections. He expressed surprise at the popularity of crypto payments, stating:

The thing I really noticed was everything was paid in—I would say almost all of it was paid in crypto, in this new currency. And it opened my eyes.

Trump lauded the success of his NFT ventures. He highlighted the experience:

“It was incredible. So, NFTs are, you know, I did the—very successful. We had one year to sell it out and it sold out in one day. The whole thing sold out: 45,000 of the cards. And I did it three times [and] I’m going to do another one, because the people want me to do another one. It’s unbelievable spirit.”

Donald Trump beyond NFTs

The former president also stressed the importance of US leadership in cryptocurrencies and NFTs, warning that other countries, particularly China, could take the lead if the United States doesn’t act.

If we don’t do it, China is going to pick it up and China’s going to have it—or somebody else, but most likely China.

Trump believes the US has a “good foundation” for cryptocurrencies and doesn’t want to see another country dominate this emerging field. He also mentioned his growing connections with “top-flight” industry professionals.

This marks a shift in Trump’s stance on cryptocurrencies, as he previously held negative views towards the asset class. Recently, his campaign reported receiving cryptocurrency donations, further highlighting his evolving position on digital assets. Recent news also indicates that crypto moguls will be participating in his upcoming super PAC.

If you’re all done with Elden Ring and want another soulsy type game to sink your teeth into, look no further than Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn.

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is definitely a pretty game akin to that of Black Myth: Wukong, so if you’re opting to play on PC, you’ll need to know if it has the power.

Below, we’ll run you through the complete system requirements for Flintlock so you can see if you need any last minute upgrades.

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn system requirements

As promised, here are both the minimum and recommended Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn system requirements.

Overall, considering it is a 2024 game release, the specs required aren’t overly high, and you should be able to get away with a PC that is a few years old.

You will, however, need an SSD no matter what. Even if you don’t have one already, you’ll be able to pick one up very cheaply.

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn minimum system requirements

OS: Windows 10
CPU: Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 3 3300X
RAM: 8 GB
GPU: GTX 1060 / Radeon RX 580 (6GB+ RAM)
DirectX: Version 11
Storage: 30 GB available space

Additional Notes: SSD required

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn recommended system requirements

OS: Windows 10
CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K / AMD Ryzen 5 3600X
RAM: 16 GB
GPU: GTX 2060 Super / Radeon RX 5700 (8GB+ RAM)
DirectX: Version 12
Storage: 30 GB available space

Additional Notes: SSD required

Is Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn on Steam Deck?

Yes, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is available on Steam Deck, allowing you to play this new Souls-lite on the go.

However, the current status according to Steam is that it is ‘Playable’. This means that the game will function as normal with the graphics settings allowing for solid framerates, but there may be some difficulty with in-game text being too small.

This isn’t a huge deal in the overall experience but may be a hindrance if you’re an avid subtitle user.

The cryptocurrency market is on the brink of a major opportunity, and WienerAI is poised to be a significant part of that potential.

Amidst the myriad of articles about the Shiba Inu coin, the information trickles down into the overall crypto market, offering insights into broader financial trends.

From a macroeconomic perspective, retail investors are currently gripped by fear and are largely absent from the cryptocurrency space. However, those who remain engaged are in a unique position.

WienerAI: Capitalizing on market recovery for resilient investors

Investors who maintain composure during market volatility display remarkable strength. Resisting fear, a well-known pitfall, is crucial for success.

WienerAI offers impressive staking rewards with an annual interest rate of 152%. WienerAI’s launch timing is excellent, given the current market sentiment.

The cryptocurrency market is shifting from extreme fear to a more neutral or even bullish outlook. The Fear and Greed Index, which measures market emotions, has stabilized and shows signs of potential growth.

This shift has historically led to significant gains, especially in the meme coin sector, as investors look to maximize their returns. Learn about WienerAI’s future with our $WAI price predictions. Follow WienerAI on X or join its Telegram group for the latest news.

WienerAI gains traction amid Shiba Inu meme coin community revelations

Shiba Inu coin’s explosive popularity over the past two years has been a fascinating case study. While the project’s ecosystem faced questions about leadership and development experience, it garnered immense support from a hopeful community.

This highlights the unique power of optimism in the crypto space, especially when it comes to meme coins. WienerAI taps into a similar vein of excitement. However, the current market climate is vastly different.

Fear dominates, with the Fear and Greed Index hovering at a rock-bottom 25. While this might raise concerns, it can also signal a potential turning point. Historically, such lows often precede market rebounds.

As fear recedes and confidence returns, the potential for significant gains increases. WienerAI’s launch is strategically timed to capitalize on this anticipated upswing.

World War I or The Great War is a fascinating conflict as it was the first time really that conflict met emerging technology on an industrial scale. The first machine guns, tanks, and aircraft all played their part in the relentless bloodbath that swept over Europe in the early part of the 20th Century. And when that didn’t work, well then, enough of niceties, let’s introduce chemical warfare.

We have seen a few First World War games in the past though not as many as other conflicts. War Hospital, a strategy game also introduced atrocities into the mix but Over the Top is an FPS multi-player shooter at heart with eight different classes of solider to choose including Officers and Specialists. You can check out the new trailer below which talks through things in a little more detail.

The team behind Over the Top is Flying Squirrel Studio – a team of former modders who were heavily involved in Mount and Blade and then ended up doing the official expansion. It will be interesting to see what happens when they are let loose on their own project here when Over the Top heads into Early Access before the end of the year.

“We’re incredibly proud of the depth and detail in ‘Over the Top WWI,’” said Nico Kamps, Head Designer at Flying Squirrel. “This trailer is just a glimpse of the expansive and immersive experience we’re bringing to players. Whether you’re leading a massive multiplayer charge or carefully crafting your battlefield in single-player, there’s something here for everyone who loves intense, strategic FPS gameplay.”

It’s been some time since we’ve seen a new College Football game out in the wild, meaning you might have forgotten how to perform a variety of in-game actions.

This is especially true when you get on the field and everything almost goes out of the window if you’re up against some tough opposition.

Here, we’ll teach you how to throw a Touch Pass in College Football 25 so you can master a different way to get toward that all-important end zone.

How to throw a Touch Pass in College Football 25

Don’t worry if you’re having a bit of trouble with the Touch Pass in College Football 25 as it requires a little practice to get it dialed in.

To throw the Touch Pass, initially choose who you want to throw the ball to, perform the snap, and hold down the button for who you want to throw it to for approximately half a second.

The reason why it needs to be so specific is because you want to get the meter within the blue section, avoiding both a Bullet Pass and a Lob Pass.

A Bullet Pass will be performed if you’re holding it too long, whereas a Lob Pass will be thrown if you do more of a tap.

So, you need to get a feel for an in-between of both of these and you should be able to successfully get a Touch Pass off.

This will enable you to throw the ball at a more medium speed, hopefully getting it to your designated player at the right time of the play.

What we recommend is that you do a bunch of practice to really hone in on when to release the button so you can successfully throw Touch Passes time and time again, eliminating any on-field mistakes that could be the difference in those tight games.

The state of California has benefitted from $1.4m in gambling contributions from registered parties amid the passing of a new bill.

The coastal state has witnessed a battle between established Tribal gambling operators and the newer, digital, and immediate forms of instant gambling. Tribes have been vehemently against any form of gambling coming into the state, which fails to respect their position.

Californian Tribes at the centre of gambling bill

As we reported, FanDuel’s CEO Amy Howe stated, “If legalized wagering is going to be done in California, it is going to be done with and through the 100-plus tribes that exist in the state of California. It’s critical for us to do this together and not against one another.”

According to Gambling News, the tale of Tribal dominance in California has taken another twist with a new piece of state legislation being supported by regulators.

The twenty-year history of Californian gambling has been dominated by the Tribes that call the state home. They account for 70% of the gambling tithes paid to the lawmakers and legal entities that regulate gambling.

As we reported, there were concerns across the state that Tribes’ ability to sue cardrooms would lead to financial difficulties and possible redundancies.

California lawmakers vote on new bill

The state’s tribes account for the most significant gambling contributions, which are incredibly important to this infrastructure. However, the tribes have no formal way of addressing or flagging a breach of the state’s Gambling Control Act in a court of law.

However, other entities have been focusing on snapping up new businesses in the gambling world. In response, the Tribes of California have supported Senate Bill 549 (SB 549), allowing for injunctive relief to Tribes.

California lawmakers readily supported the new bill, which showed resolute support for resolving Tribal concerns as part of the process laid out by the Department of Justice. It was passed with 15 out of 22 votes in support, six abstentions, and one vote against.

The bill does have its detractors, like Sean McMorris, California Common Cause’s transparency, ethics, and accountability program manager. He was suspicious that the Tribe’s contributions could influence support for the new bill.

He said, “No politician is ever going to tell you that money affects their vote, but the public isn’t stupid. It’s pretty darn suspicious that most of them voted based on where they got the most money from.”

Executive director of the California Contracts Cities Association, Marcel Rodarte said, “SB 549 is a bill that will negatively harm many of our cities with cardrooms in their communities. Cardrooms are an integral part of our cities as they provide jobs.”

No matter McMorris and Rodarte’s concerns, it looks likely that Tribes will be able to take action against “licensed California card clubs and third-party proposition player services providers” to seek some kind of restitution.
