‘The Last of Us Part II’ is on sale at its record-low price of $10
TL;DR: The Last of Us Part 2 is on sale as of Feb. 22. Order the Standard Edition through GameStop for the all-time-low price of $9.99 (usually $39.99), or upgrade to the Digital Deluxe Edition in the PlayStation Store for $34.99 (normally $49.99).
With HBO’s The Last of Us TV series beginning to dip into its source material’s sequel for details about Ellie’s backstory (no spoilers), the best time to start a playthrough is now.
Conveniently, The Last of Us Part II has randomly returned to its record-low sale price of $9.99 at GameStop this week — that’s an impressive 75% off its $39.99 MSRP, and a deal that previously sold out at Amazon and Best Buy. (In other words, add it to your cart sooner rather than later to avoid missing out.)
For players willing to spend a little more for some virtual collectors’ items, TLOU2’s Digital Deluxe Edition is listed for $34.99 (or 30% off) in the PlayStation Store until Thursday, March 2 at 2:59 a.m. ET. That one nabs you a digital soundtrack, a digital mini art book, a dynamic theme for your PlayStation console’s homepage, and a set of six unique PSN avatars in addition to a copy of the base game.

‘The Last of Us’ episode 7 trailer delves into Ellie’s past
A 2020 release for the PS4 (with a free performance patch for PS5), TLOU2 takes place out West five years after the events of Naughty Dog’s original third-person survival horror game. Without ruining anything for first-timers, it’s a deeply emotional experience and somehow more bleak and depressing than the first game. (A true feat, honestly.)
It’s an absolutely fantastic game and definitely still worth playing, especially if you love the show, don’t get me wrong — just know what you’re in for. To quote Mashable’s review: “The Last of Us Part II is an artistic triumph that has the power to move those of us who have the stomach to consume it.” GLHF.

A24’s ‘Past Lives’ trailer teases romance of the most painful kind
If you’re into the kind of romance that leans hard into the heartbreak and unrequited love side of things, then A24 has just the ticket: Celine Song’s drama Past Lives, a story about two childhood friends from South Korea who lose touch after Nora’s (Greta Lee’s) family emigrates to America.
The good news is they’re reunited years later when Hae Sung (Teo Yoo) travels to the U.S. to reconnect with Nora. The bad news? She’s in a relationship with Arthur (John Magaro), and you just know somebody (or everybody) is going to end up getting hurt.
Past Lives will be in theatres later this year after it gained big buzz at the Sundance Film Festival.

Low-Earth orbit: A launchpad for Europe’s spacetech startups
Big business opportunities are brewing in the cosmos. Morgan Stanley predicts the space economy will grow from €355 billion in 2020 to over €1 trillion by 2030 — and competition for the rewards is fierce. The USA remains a celestial superpower, while China is emerging as a powerful challenger. Europe has historically lagged behind the world leaders — but is now carving out a promising niche. Across the continent, countries are converging around a single segment of the market: small satellites in low-Earth orbit (LEO). The maximum altitude in LEO is about one-third of Earth’s radius.
