One of our favorite robovacs is down to its all-time low ahead of Prime Day

As an extremely lazy person, I am a big fan of robot vacuums like the Roomba j7 Plus. Nothing beats rotting in bed as iRobot’s last-gen flagship navigates my cluttered home and does the cleaning on my behalf. What I don’t like, though, is its high price tag. Thankfully, Prime members can currently pick up the j7 Plus with an auto-empty dock for just $399.99 ($400 off) at Amazon. That’s the best price we’ve seen on the discontinued robot vacuum, which has been increasingly difficult to find in recent months.

Despite being discontinued, the j7 Plus is one of my colleague Jennifer Pattison Tuohy’s favorite models. And after spending time with a review unit she sent me, I understand why. It’s loud, but given how useful and effective its tangle-free brush system is, I’ve decided I can forgive that. I love how easy it is to create schedules so that it cleans select areas of my home and that I can control it via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. Its AI-powered obstacle avoidance is incredibly helpful, too, allowing it to steer clear of cables and other random objects that often clutter my floor. It doesn’t have as many customization options as newer rivals like Roborock’s S8 MaxV Ultra, though it does continue to receive over-the-air updates that add new features and refine its cleaning prowess. In fact, as of last year, the j7 even doubles as a livestreaming security camera, making it a worthwhile investment despite its age.

You can pick up a pair of USB-C EarPods on sale at Amazon for a mere $17 ($2 off), which matches their best price to date. The wired earbuds work with multiple Apple devices, offer terrific mics, and deliver sound quality comparable to — if not better than — Apple’s entry-level AirPods. If you don’t need bells and whistles like active noise cancellation and spatial audio, you’ll be very happy with the inexpensive earbuds and their inline remote.
The Meta Quest 3 is currently on sale at Amazon with 128GB of storage and a free copy of Asgard’s Wrath 2 for $429.99 ($70 off), which is an all-time low price. While we weren’t impressed with it as a mixed reality device, as a virtual reality headset, the Quest 3 is an excellent upgrade over the Quest 2. It’s noticeably more powerful and comfortable, for one, with sharper screens and new cameras that provide better passthrough. Read our review.

Amazon is selling the original AeroGarden Harvest starting at $81.53 ($33 off), which is one of the better prices we’ve seen this year. The indoor hydroponic garden is easy to set up and use, allowing you to grow up to six plants at a time without sunlight. The garden also comes with a seed pot kit containing a variety of herbs (including mint and basil), though you can also buy separate kits for growing flowers or vegetables.
