Amazon Prime members can claim and play seven games for free next month, according to a newly-published schedule.
Members of Amazon Prime get free games to play each month, with new ones coming a each week begins. The same will happen in June, with seven games on the way in the coming weeks. Next month, titles range from some Star Wars classics to funky cowboy-based adventures.
One of the first games to become available on June 8 is Star Wars Battlefront II Classic, taking us back to 2005 when the popular sequel title first came out – which is better than the glitch-fueled reboot of late. Battlefront II follows Clone Troopers from different factions fighting in various locations around the galaxy far, far away locales. The game introduced new elements to the franchise, including missions based on Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, as well as enhanced gameplay like space combat and the ability to play as Jedi characters or other heroes.
For something a little less mainstream, Weird West offers a fantasy-RPG where cowboys take on dangerous supernatural beasts. Meanwhile Genesis Noir follows “No Man” as he’s caught in a love triangle with cosmic beings and gods.
Other games coming later in the month include Everdream Valley, a farming adventure game; MythForce, which offers roguelike action in a 1980s cartoon setting; Projection: First Light, a puzzle-focused game set in a shadow world, and the action-packed Blast Brigade vs. the Evil Legion of Dr. Cread – which is exactly what it sounds like.

TinyPod wants to turn Apple Watches into minimalist phones that feel like iPods
Creator shares price and design details, and mission to help people disconnect.
I traded in my Series 5 Apple Watch last week to Apple after the battery couldn’t make it through most evenings. There wasn’t much resale incentive on the open market, because the screen was far from pristine and the battery was nearly 5 years old. You can replace the battery yourself, but, already having a lot of fix projects on the shelf, I opted to send it off, take a gift card, and move on.
If I get a chance, though, I’m going to ask Apple for that watch back. Apple can keep its estimated $90. I am cautiously but earnestly optimistic that the tinyPod can give me more value than a gift card number I plow into some future iPhone upgrade. In fact, the tinyPod, according to its creator, should go on sale for around that $90 mark after a more detailed reveal in June.

No electronics, just a lefty-oriented Apple Watch case
The tinyPod is essentially an iPod-like case, complete with circular-scrolling clickwheel, into which a strapless Apple Watch can be snapped in. Once inside the case, the scroll wheel function is “entirely analog and physically rotates the watch crown,” according to tinyPod founder Newar, better known as “Sentry” on X (formerly Twitter) and in jailbreaking circles. The crown-moving mechanism and general case enhancements to the Watch are patent-pending, Newar wrote by email. More on the scroll wheel will be shown next month, he wrote, at a “proper launch.”
Apple Signals That It’s Working on TV+ App for Android Phones
Apple is seeking a senior engineer to help build a television and sports app for Android, a sign the company is finally bringing its TV+ service to the rival smartphone platform. From a report: In a job listing published in recent days, Apple said it’s looking for someone to lead the development of “fun new features” and “help build an application used by millions to watch and discover TV and sports.” The move suggests that the company is looking to gain market share in video streaming — and is setting aside its rivalry with Android in order to chase additional users. It’s rare for Apple to develop software for Google’s Android, which competes with its iOS platform. The TV+ service, launched in 2019, is Apple’s answer to Netflix or Disney+, and the company has spent heavily on feeding it with original content.

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced a new State of Play livestream event is coming this week, offering an early look at PlayStation games for the rest of 2024.
Sony has confirmed that State of Play will take place on May 30 at 3pm PT / 6pm ET, streamed live on YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok. The company promises “updates on PS5 and PS VR2 titles, plus a look at PlayStation Studios games arriving later this year.”
Described as a “30+ minute show,” 14 titles will be included in State of Play, but no other details have been given. Nonetheless, we can have some good guesses for what might be included in tomorrow’s event.
Expectations for Sony’s State of Play
There’s a warning at the bottom to streamers that the broadcast “may include copyrighted content (e.g. licensed music)” outside of Sony’s control, which could mean there is the inclusion of IP from outside of Sony’s umbrella.
Some major titles coming out in August that we could see more of include Star Wars: Outlaws, due for release on August 30, and Assassin’s Creed Shadows, scheduled to come out on November 12.
Other rumors about what PlayStation games could be coming up include:
Sonic X Shadow Generations
Silent Hill 2 Remake
Neva
Cat Quest: Pirates of the Purribean
Towers of Aghasba
Ultros
Baby Steps
Concord
The Plucky Squire
John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando
Any one of those could make an appearance in State of Play – but all of them stil doesn’t bring us up to 14 titles, meaning some surprises could also be on the agenda. We could also get release windows or more details on some titles that we know are on the way at some point, such as Assassin’s Creed Infinity: Codename Hexe , Dune: Awakening, Marvel’s Wolverine, Mass Effect 5, Kingdom Hearts 4, Grand Theft Auto 6, The Sims 5, or The Witcher 4.

The new Framework 13 laptops includee Intel Core Ultra Series 1 processors
Framework, the company known for making unique modular laptops, just announced the latest iteration of its Laptop 13. The big news here is that these computers now come equipped with Intel Core Ultra Series 1 processors, which should offer a serious boost in power along with improved efficiency and battery life. These processors also support up to 96GB of DDR5 RAM, so you can make sure your model is relatively future-proof.
A laptop isn’t just a processor, however, so the Laptop 13 features all kinds of iterative improvements over previous models. There are multiple display options, and the best one features a resolution of 2880×1920 and a refresh rate of 120Hz. That’ll certainly be quite handy for gaming.
There’s a new 9.2MP webcam that steals a bit of tech from modern smartphone cameras to deliver “amazing 1080p performance, especially in low-light conditions.” Framework has also moved to lower-noise microphones for audio clarity.
Of course, this is Framework, so the Laptop 13 is modular. The company offers an array of customization options, including new expansion cards and system modules. There are some new multi-colored USB-C expansion cards and a forthcoming SD expansion card for easy flash storage. It also offers pre-configured models to suit different consumers. For instance, there’s a business version that comes with a 3-year warranty and pre-installed Windows 11 Pro with Autopilot support.
Preorders are available right now, with deliveries starting next month. The Laptop 13 starts at $1,100.This article originally appeared on Engadget at https://www.engadget.com/the-new-framework-13-laptops-includee-intel-core-ultra-series-1-processors-190323014.html?src=rss
