Sony leak allows Destiny 2 players to access The Final Shape expansion early

Image: Bungie

Bungie’s highly anticipated Destiny 2: The Final Shape expansion isn’t due to launch until June 4th, but a number of players have been able to get access to the game this morning. Posters on Reddit and in Discord servers have been sharing images and video of gameplay of The Final Shape, which was apparently accessible through Sony’s PS5 cloud streaming service.
As the entire DLC was playable for at least five hours, Destiny 2 players have been able to share spoilers about upcoming raid gear, seasonal content, The Final Shape campaign and missions, and even cutscenes. Videos have also appeared on YouTube showing an early look at new weapons and gear that will be available next week.
The Final Shape could be Destiny 2’s most important expansion, set to conclude the light and darkness saga of Destiny that has been ongoing for nearly a decade. It will see Destiny 2 players fight The Witness, the main antagonist of Destiny’s light and darkness saga who commands the Black Fleet — an armada of pyramid vessels.
The Final Shape will also include access to a new Prismatic Subclass that merges the powers of the Light and Darkness, allowing players to combine certain class abilities from different damage types. Prismatic looks set to break Destiny 2, in a good way.
Sony and Bungie have now rectified the mistaken early access, but the damage has already been done. It’s a devastating leak for Bungie, just days ahead of the official launch of The Final Shape. Spoilers and gameplay are now appearing on forums, posts on X, Discord servers, Reddit, and elsewhere ahead of The Final Shape launch on Tuesday — making it nearly impossible for fans to avoid spoilers.
While we’ve seen plenty of game leaks in recent years — including early footage of GTA 6 and internal documents and gameplay stolen from Insomniac Games — it’s still rare to be able to play a game early thanks to mistaken server access.
We’ve reached out to Bungie to comment on this, and we’ll update you accordingly.

The PEPE price has taken a dip this week, dropping from its all-time high of around $0.000017 to current levels of $0.000013.

This has left many meme coin investors wondering where the PEPE price is headed next and whether it can actually flip Shiba Inu as the second-largest meme coin by market capitalization. Let’s dig into details.

PEPE Price Forecast

PEPE’s price has followed an interesting pattern, according to the analysis by davie satoshi, a crypto analyst with a following of 13k on X. He notes that PEPE’s market cap has peaked at three distinct levels: $1.8 billion, $4.2 billion, and most recently, $6.9 billion. Remarkably, each successive peak has been approximately $2.5-2.7 billion higher than the previous one. This pattern suggests a predictable growth trajectory dictated by the community’s interest and investment activity.

Thus far, $PEPE has peaked at $1.8b, $4.2b and now $6.9b market cap. This was almost predictable and dictated by the community. Each peak is about $2.5-2.7b apart.

So is the next peak at $10b?
That would spell a price of about $0.0000241.

or HIGHER?

Based on this observation, davie satoshi speculates that the next potential peak for PEPE’s market cap could be around $10 billion. If this projection holds true, it would translate to a PEPE price of approximately $0.0000241, representing an almost 2x upside potential from current levels.

CryptoForexGem, a respected TradingView analyst known for insightful analysis, offers a different perspective. According to their assessment, PEPE chart has recently encountered an important resistance zone on the daily timeframe. As a result, CryptoForexGem expects a healthy retracement or pullback in PEPE’s price.

However, this retracement could present an attractive opportunity for investors to enter long positions. CryptoForexGem suggests that if PEPE’s price retreats close to its previous all-time high of around $0.000011, it could potentially bounce back and resume its uptrend, targeting new highs. This analysis highlights the potential for PEPE to consolidate before potentially embarking on a fresh rally.

On the other hand, More Crypto Online, an influential account with 18k followers on X, offers a more bearish outlook for PEPE’s price. According to their analysis, which relies on Elliott Wave theory, PEPE’s price likely formed a top in wave (3), and the current price action is unfolding as wave (A) of (4).

More Crypto Online suggests that wave (A) could potentially form a low in the current price region. Furthermore, they identify the ideal support level for a fourth wave as the 38.2% retracement level, which corresponds to a price of around $0.0000127386. If this scenario plays out, PEPE could experience further downside before finding support and potentially resuming its uptrend.

$PEPE: The price likely formed a top in wave (3) and wave (A) of (4) seems to be unfolding right now. It is possible that wave (A) forms a low in the current price region. The ideal support level for a fourth wave is typically the 38.2% retracement at around $0.x127386.#Pepepic.twitter.com/cTb3g803Eg

Technical indicators also provide insights into PEPE’s price movements. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is currently around 30, indicating oversold conditions and a potential for a price rebound. Additionally, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) line is below the MACD signal line, suggesting bearish momentum in the short term.

Based on the various analyses and technical indicators, PEPE’s price forecast remains uncertain, with potential for both further downside and a recovery towards new highs. Regardless, PEPE flipping SHIB in terms of market cap now seems a bit unrealistic following this week’s correction.

Briefly, it’s worth mentioning PlayDoge, a new meme coin that combines the Doge meme with a Tamagotchi-style virtual pet concept. PlayDoge is currently a hot crypto presale, having raised almost $400k in just 2 days. This could potentially be one the meme coins to buy as a Pepe alternative.

Cryptonews YouTube channel with almost 10k subscribers posted a positive video about PlayDoge today, calling it a meme coin with 100x potential.

Conclusion

To sum it up, as the PEPE price fluctuates, investors are closely monitoring its potential to surpass Shiba Inu’s market cap and become the second-largest meme coin. While analysts’ predictions and technical indicators offer valuable insights, the future of PEPE’s price remains uncertain. Based on multiple Pepe price predictions, we might see a longer correction phase before the next leg up.

iOS 18 could finally make Siri useful again thanks to rumored ChatGPT deal

Apple has reportedly partnered with ChatGPT owner OpenAI to help bring improved AI functionality to iOS.

Rumors of a partnership between Apple and OpenAI have been swirling for some time now, but it looks like the two companies have finally inked a deal to bring ChatGPT functionality to iOS 18 and other Apple operating systems.

According to a recent The Information report (via AppleInsider), OpenAI has agreed to help the iPhone maker bring AI features to its various platforms, and although details of the deal are still under wraps, we’re willing to bet that Apple’s Siri voice assistant could soon be overhauled with OpenAI’s ChatGPT-powering large language model (LLM).

What does that mean, exactly? It’s hard to say for sure right now – Apple will likely tell us more at WWDC 2024 in June – but it seems safe to expect that a new-and-improved Siri will use the power of ChatGPT to answer voice-based queries in a more responsive, accurate and nuanced manner than it’s currently capable of offering.

This isn’t to say that Siri is about to become ChatGPT in all but name. Apple has always seen – and, we suspect, still sees – Siri as an assistant rather than a chatbot, and the company will surely continue to prioritize privacy over do-it-all functionality.

But the on-device processing behind Siri in its current guise just isn’t up to scratch in 2024. As such, this reported deal could see Apple harness OpenAI’s ChatGPT LLM to boost Siri’s question-answering ability in a way that doesn’t compromise user privacy.

(Image credit: Apple / OpenAI / Future)

Think of it like this: right now, Siri is a fairly useless middle-man between the user and Google. You ask Siri a question, and it presents you with a list of popular Google search results that may or may not give you the answer you’re looking for. Crucially, though, Siri doesn’t tell Google that it’s you who asked the question.

A ChatGPT-powered Siri could work in much the same way, but instead of returning a list of Google search results for you to manually sift through, it could anonymously ask ChatGPT for a simple, succinct answer to your query, which it then passes along to you.

But wait! “How is this solution different from the voice-compatible ChatGPT app, which is already available on iPhones?” I hear you ask. Well, as good as ChatGPT’s baked-in Voice function is, it’s not embedded into your iPhone in the same way that Siri is. This reported deal between OpenAI and Apple could rectify that hiccup, combining the benefits of assistant and chatbot in a way that maintains Apple’s signature style and simplicity.

The deal would seemingly benefit OpenAI too. A recent study revealed that only a tiny proportion of people with access to ChatGPT use it on a daily basis, and while that lack of uptake is likely down to questions over accuracy rather than accessibility, there’s no denying that baking generative AI tools into consumer products would encourage more users to adopt them in their daily lives.

As mentioned, we’re likely to hear Apple shed more light on its reported OpenAI partnership at WWDC 2024, which is due to kick off on June 10. For info on how to tune into the hotly-anticipated developer conference, check out our how to watch WWDC 2024 guide.

Malala Yousafzai in ‘We Are Lady Parts’ is the cameo of the year

Malala Yousafzai makes a cameo for the song “Malala Made Me Do It” in “We Are Lady Parts” and it’s everything.

An absolute banger of country track inspired by Malala Yousafzai in a TV show is one thing, but an appearance from the Nobel Peace Prize laureate herself in full Beyoncé mode? Find me a better cameo, I dare you.

In Nida Manzoor’s highly-awaited second season of We Are Lady Parts, the titular all-female Muslim punk outfit — made up of Amina (Anjana Vasan), Saira (Sarah Kameela Impey), Ayesha (Juliette Motamed), Bisma (Faith Omole), and Momtaz (Lucie Shorthouse) — not only write a rollicking jam about the Pakistani girls education activist but managed to get Yousafzai on the show.

And friends, it’s the cameo of the year.

In Season 2, the band are facing significant hurdles including eviction, a rival band on tour, and the staggering prospect of recording their first album. But in episode 2, the band’s vocalist and bassist, Bisma, is in her own personal pickle, after her daughter Imani (Edesiri Okepnerho) is suspended from school for chucking eggs at her teacher — he wanted to remove slavery from the Year 7 curriculum, so, fair enough, Imani.

“I did what Malala would do,” Imani tells her mum. “You know she fights for girls’ education every day.”

“Malala would not throw eggs at Mr Appleby, Imani!” Bisma responds, deeply dismayed.

But while Bisma is initially concerned by her daughter’s whole food-based projectile protest strategy, Imani’s stand in advocating her right to learn challenges her mum’s understanding of her own rebellion. “You’re in a punk band and pretend to be this badass edgelord but you know what you are? You’re a people pleaser,” Imani says.

Freaked out by her reaction to Imani’s demonstration, Bisma’s experience inspires the band to write a song: “Malala Made Me Do It”. It’s an absolute series highlight, as big a deal as the band’s unforgettable track “Voldemort Under My Headscarf!” from Season 1 but more biographical.

Behold, the glorious lyrics to “Malala Made Me Do It” by Lady Parts:

They named her Malala

Malala Yousafzai

Rode into town and made the Talibanis cry

Born in Swat Valley up in northern Pakistan

Advocating for the rights of the woman

Nobel Prize at 17

The baddest bitch you’ve ever seen

Cross your heart and hope to die

It’s Malala Yousafzai

Nothing could stop her

Not the bullet that she took

She cried “One pen and one child and one teacher and one book”

She headed for adventure like her brother Frodo did

Prizoner of Azkaban got nothin’ on this kid

Noble, wise, and so serene

The baddest bitch you’ve ever seen

Cross your heart and hope to die

It’s Malala Yousafzai

Stole biscuits from the staffroom

Malala made her do it

Skipped choir to chase the boys

Malala made her do it

Hidin’ in the girls’ loos

To while away those Monday blues

Malala made her do that too

It’s Malala Yousafzai

But if these Western stylings from our beloved punk feminists aren’t enough, Yousafzai herself makes a superb cameo in the episode, channelling her inner Beyoncé and riding into a full-on Cowboy Carter moment.

YES.

In a fantasy moment during the song, Yousafzai appears in a surrealist landscape on a fake horse wearing a bewjewelled, fringed cowboy hat over a dupattā, and a gorgeous blue dress. It’s a 100 percent stunning moment, seeing the activist glorified among fake cacti and neon clouds in what appears to be a nod to the cover of Beyoncé’s latest country album, as the band dance and play the song around her — at one point getting their own fake horses.

Yousafzai told Vogue she met series creator Manzoor at the premiere for her film Polite Society, and Manzoor reached out to her personally in a letter to get her involved in Season 2 of We Are Lady Parts.

OBSESSED.

Yousafzai has fiercely advocated for gender equality since she was just 11 years old — at 15, she was shot by the Taliban for speaking up for girls and their right to an education. Now 26, she’s not only the youngest Nobel Peace Prize recipient and an Oxford graduate, she stands up for injustice on YouTube, co-authored the book We Are Displaced: My Journey and Stories from Refugee Girls Around the World, and runs her own nonprofit that invests in education programmes to help girls go to school.

She’s absolute feminist punk rock in every sense, and her cameo in We Are Lady Parts is pure, warranted, adoration. We’ll be singing “Malala Made Me Do It” forever as we throw eggs at school curriculum conservatives, thank you very much.

How to watch: We Are Lady Parts Season 2 premieres May 30 on Peacock in the U.S. and Channel 4 in the UK.
